There are over 600 boarding schools and more than 1,000 independent day schools in the United States. Some schools have programs for gifted students, average students, and children with learning differences. As we develop a partnership with families, we can help you see the best in each school and determine which one is the proper match for you and your child.

When we’re not working with families, we are visiting schools and talking with teachers, admission officers, and the leaders that run them. We know these schools and have confidence that if recommended, your child will be successful.

Our task is to thoughtfully and professionally help you choose a school that is the best fit for your child. The first step in this process is arranging an initial consultation. At this time, we try to learn as much as possible about your child and your family. This will help determine a student’s goals, needs and expectations. The next steps include:

• A complete review and evaluation of school records and extra-curricular activities; and, recommendations for additional testing, including the ISEE and SSAT, if necessary.
• Preparing a suggested list of schools, help with planning school visits, as well as preparation for admissions interviews with the student.
• Review school visits with parent and student and develop a final application list.
• Monitor the application process, manage deadlines, coordinate testing, and supervise references and ongoing contact with schools.
• Evaluate acceptances, determine if re-visits are necessary, review financial needs, and monitor placement.
